Laura

Laura is the Crux Theatre Co-ordinator. She grew up in the Peak District, which is still ‘home’, but has moved around during the last 6 years for university and work. She has a degree in ‘Drama in the Community’, which means she is a trained performer, workshop leader and theatre facilitator. She loves getting to know new people and finds working with the team really satisfying, as she invests in them and sees them grow during their year with YFC.

Becky

Becky comes from the London borough of Bromley. Growing up she was always heavily involved in drama and sport in and out of school but really decided to follow her passion for drama when she reached sixth form. Becky had the privilege of being on the first Crux Theatre team starting in 2008 and knew she was definitely in the right place. Becky is now here for a second year as assistant team leader on the YFCone training programme! She has seen the work of Crux Theatre expanding and growing already, so is very excited for the future.

Callum

Callum is 18 and comes from Scotland. He believes drama is an important tool to help young people express themselves. People’s views on life can be changed as they explore issues through drama. A few of the issues which the play touches on are bullying, abuse at home, violence and community. The reason he came on the gap year with YFC is because he wanted to show young people how they can change the issues in their lives, and how God can change the situations in their lives for the better.

Rachel

Rachel is 19 years old. Last year she was studying for her A Levels at school back in Kent. She really wanted to take a year out of education and do something different, so seeing the gap year opportunities with Youth for Christ really grabbed her attention. She always loved Drama and when she saw what Crux Theatre do, she knew it was right for her! Rachel is excited about being part of this mission and getting to see young people change. She sees it as a real privilege to serve God this year, and being part of Crux Theatre is just a small contribution.
